Credit Cards come in handy when you go traveling and don’t carry too much cash around for safety’s sake. A credit card is also useful to make payments in a restaurant or a mall. Just last night, I paid by credt card for mother’s day and treated my family to a sumptuous dinner in Maple Gold for over RM200 for 5 persons. It was so convenient as I don’t have to carry to much money and just my signature is sufficient to be accepted as payment for the meal. If you are in United Kingdom, you might like to check out Credit Card UK from AirAid.co.uk for your cashless transaction everywhere that accepts a VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Diners, and more.

Mother’s day
Today is Mother’s day and I would like to wish all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day. I will be treating my family on this day at Maple Gold. It was fully booked but since my mum knows the captain, she has allocated a table of 5 for us. The dishes are sharks’ fin soup with extra crab meat, brocolli with scallops, butter nestum prawns, ‘choong piah’, stream pomfret and free fruits.

I got a cute clay picture frame from my church today though I did not stand up when the pastor announced that all mothers are to stand up to receive prayer and a gift. In fact, 2 kids came up to me to give me the gifts but I had to decline the second one as I has already received my ‘mother’s day’ souvenir. You see, I don’t want to appear too greedy taking double portions, though the temptation was there. But then again, perhaps I should have graciously accepted it from the cute little Chinese boy.

If you love to watch combat video, check out the link from GreenMarines.com. The war in Iraq “is the YouTube war,” said Ana Marie Cox, Washington editor of Time.com. “It’s a war where communication is instantaneous.”

Soldiers in Iraq aren’t just shooting weapons, they are shooting videos. Whether mounted on vehicles or carried to gather intelligence, cameras are rolling, and tape or digital images can easily be edited and uploaded from laptop computers.

On several Web sites, including YouTube, IFilm, Liveleak.com and Military.com, GreenMarines.com, videos shot (and sometimes edited) by soldiers or their friends and family back home are being downloaded over and over. Both the soldiers and the people who monitor the Web sites say that the videos offer a raw, first-hand view of the war.
