Students who live on a limited budget can check out the links to find electronic items like TVs, radios, water heater, etc to purchase for their dormitories. I was a student in a Singapore varsity before, so I know the needs and challenges of a student.

All women are daughters of Sarah, wife of Abraham. When Sarah was 60 years old, Pharoah, King of Egypt wanted her to be in his harem. She was beautiful in her old age. And when Sarah reached 90 years of age, Abimelech, king of Gerar, wanted her in his harem as well. Sarah’s youth was literally renewed like the eagles. Even at the age of 90, a king wanted her and she had the strength and youth to conceive seed. God renewed Sarah’s youth and opened her womb to conceive Isaac at 91 years old. She was physically attractive and looked young in her golden years. Imagine, two kings wanted Sarah to be in their harems and she must have looked very attractive to them physically. This is not spiritual renewal that you cannot see but tangible and real. Thank goodness, all women are daughters of Sarah and we need to wait upon the Lord to renew our youth.

You might be wondering what those two terms above mean. Well, Eschatology is defined as the study of events on earth that leads to the establishment of God’s final kingdom. On the other hand, missiology is the study of strategies and initiatives that determines the final population of God’s kingdom.
Hence, Eschatology + Missiology = Our Destiny.
Basically, a kingdom requires a king, a territory and subjects. What happens when you have a king, subjects but no territory? A refugee camp!
God established himself a kingdom through creation. Adam and Eve were the first man and woman God created. When Eve sinned, Adam suffered from temporary lapse of judgement. Afterall, it was Eve who asked Adam to taste the forbidden fruit and hence, it was woman who sinned. Interesting eh?

I have an aunt who’s a lawyer, an advocate and solicitor who used to open an office in Shenton Way in Singapore’s famous business district. I have worked for her for a while when I was in between jobs. She’s a very successful lawyer but has closed down her office and retired from work. She’s now in her seventies, single, unmarried and very wealthy. I have a cousin from my father’s side who’s a practising lawyer in his group of law firm with many lawyers working for him. He even has a web site showcasing his legal services. And another nephew who is studying in the university in Australia to become a lawyer as well. So you see, I have a few family members who are in the legal fraternity and you can check out Austin Texas Personal Injury Attorney from TXInjuryLawFirm dot com.

Yesterday, I was down with fever with a temperature of 38.6 degree Celcius. I had a mild headache and I could feel my whole body was heaty and very tired. I also had a sore throat. After dinner yesterday, I went to see a doctor in Island Glades. It was an Indian lady doctor. She gave me a powerful anti-biotics for 3 days and I felt much better now. I also took 2 Panadols which brought down the temperature. Last night I went to bed early and waking up to pee as I drank plenty of water. As I am feeling much better, I am now checking emails and do some light blogging before going to bed again.

There is a portable duplex document scanner from Scanshell-Store dot com. It has many features such as scanning both sides of the scanned document simultaneously, it scans to PDF (a compressed file format). It can also scan business cards, plastic ID cards, and documents up to legal size and uses USB 2.0 standard interface. No external power is needed and comes in small footprint and lightweight (<18 oz). The scanner also has Auto Launch mode which is Twain and WIA compatible.
What's more? It comes with bundled software. Scanshell 3000DN comes with bundled DocShell for easy scanning, sharing and organizing of photos and documents. DocShell is an easy to use utility that scan documents and export the scanned image into existing, pre-installed application on the user's pc (PDF,Microsoft paint etc.). The scanned document can be saved to one of the following image types: BMP, JPG, TIF, PSD, PCX, PNG or TGA. This makes it very flexible to work with so many image file formats depending on what software your PC has.
If you run a home office, you cannot make do without a scanner. In my own home office, I have a computer, internet connection, a HP printer, a Canon scanner, digital camera and a fax machine. All these gadgets make my work complete and I am able to work from home comfortably.

Here is to wish all my Muslim readers a Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. It is going to be a long holiday over the weekend with the muslims celebrating their new year. And I just came back from Kim Gary in Gurney Plaza, after treating my parents and youngest sister lunch there. The total cost was RM59++ after the taxes. We had to queue up for our table which thank goodness was not too long. After a while, we were shown to our table at the back. I had fish fillet with mushroom rice and Hong Kong style tea, which tasted more like teh tarik without the egg. My dad and youngest sister order the set lunch which comes with Borche soup, and tasted more like tomato soup with lots of cabbage and carrots. I am also in a holiday mood, hence less frequency of blogging.

Last night I watch life on Astro channel 588, our very handsome doctor, Sheikh Muszaphar lift off into space on board the Russian Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft at 9:21pm (Malaysian time). Rephrasing Neil Armstrong’s legendary words, Dr Sheikh Muszaphar said, “It’s a small step for me, but a great leap for the Malaysian people.” Hospital UKM’s Dr Sheikh Muszaphar will make history being the first Malaysian in space.
The TMA-11 aircraft carrying the 35-year-old doctor and his flight mates – Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko and American Peggy Whitson – is scheduled to dock at ISS (International Space Station) at 10:51pm (local time) on Friday. Soyuz TMA-11 will take 2 days to reach the ISS – 360km above the Earth.
Dr Sheikh Muszaphar is to study the effects of microgravity and space radiation on cells and microbes, as well as experiment with proteins for a potential HIV vaccine. Malaysia is paying for the voyage as part of a billion-dollar purchase of Russian fighter jets. The rocket – adorn with a Malaysian flag and coat of arms and carrying the Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft – was moved on Monday to the launch pad from its assembly site at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, which Russia rents from Kazakhstan. Dr Sheikh is to return to Earth on Oct 21 with two Russian members of the current space station crew.
Another first for the Malaysian ‘angkasawan’ (astronaut), is that he will be hosting a Hari Raya party on board the space station on the first day of Syawal. He has taken satay and some ‘kuih’ Raya to treat the others on board. This is all so exciting. I bet Dr Sheikh will get his Datukship when he returns to Malaysia – our very handsome orthopaedic surgeon who’s also a model.
