The above ‘kolam’ was made from fennel cloth instead of rice beads in Gurney Plaza. That’s because from previous experience, beautiful rice beads kolam tend to be destroyed by some itchy hands and feet by displacing them and mixing the colors.

Here is the real ‘kolam’ made from colored rice beads. Notice the barricade around it in the lobby of Cititel Hotel which I stayed for the weekend. Even with the barricade, already there are 2 finger prints or 2 holes on the bottom red petal of the design.

Anyway, here is to wish all my Indian readers, a Happy Deepavali!

That’s why I am going to Bangkok from tomorrow onwards for the long weekend of holidays where my sister can take longer leave.

From tomorrow onwards, I will be in Bangkok and Pattaya for 4 days, 3 nights and back on Sunday. I will be going by Air Asia with my youngest sister taking flight FD3542 departing Penang for Bangkok at 10:35am and back to Penang from Bangkok at 4:55pm on Sunday using flight FD3545.

On day 2, we will cruise Chao Phraya River, visit Wat Arun, Safari World and Marine Park.

On day 3, we will see Coral Island by speed boat, visit Nang Noorch Village and watch elephant show.

There will also be shopping to gem factory, leather factory, bee’s product and more. In Bangkok, we will stay in Prince Palace Hotel for 1 nights and 2 nights in Baiyoke Pattaya Hotel. In the mean time, there will be no blogging until I come back.

This is one of my collection of photos taken from a trip to Port Dickson not too long ago. It is a resort that we visited for site inspection and I took the opportunity to snap some shots for posterity.

Here is another shot from the poolside view. See the turquoise swimming pool that is so inviting.

Green green grass and well kept lawn of the hotel. It leads to the beach with lots of pebbles.

Two young kids playing by the beach with their spades and pails. Their mum and a maid was nearby watching out for them.

Another view of the beach in Port Dickson.
