Slimming your Body with Herbalife

herbalife business pack with F1 nutritional shake
I joined Herbalife, a multi-level marketing (MLM) or direct selling program some time back. It was so convenient. I paid by internet banking to my upline’s Maybank account and the next morning, it was delivered right to my door step by Skynet from Kuala Lumpur. Above are the items I have received from Herbalife. And I was introduced this by my upline who is also my Yahoo Messenger online chat friend based in KL. He has been doing this business for 3 years now since they started in Malaysia and have even gotten RM10,000 check in commissions from his 30 downlines.

I am happy I have made the right choice to reduce weight. As you can see, I love food too much and it is about time I need to reduce my weight for an optimum BMI (Body Mass Index). From the BMI chart, I am considered overweight but thank goodness not obese. So I bought Formula 1 nutritional shake of french vanilla flavor to replace my daily meals. Just 2 scoops with 250ml of water to replace my lunch and dinner. As of today, I have already lost 0.5kg after 2 days of drinking the vanilla shake. And it is delicious and not sweet at all. I have previously joined other MLM companies, all to no avail like Perfect Youth and Lampe Berger which cost a whopping RM30,000 just to be a count. I only paid RM98 for the business pack with distributor license and form. And another RM79.23, after 50% discount at cost price from my upline at a supervisor level, for the Formula 1 nutritional shake. For more details, check out here and see the pictures of consumers with slim sexy bodies from an otherwise obese body. By the way, F1 nutritional shake mix is the bestseller product of the company to help people reduce weight.

Herbalife was founded in 1980, a company that sells weight-loss, nutrition and skin-care products by multi-level marketing, also known as network marketing. In February 1980, Mark Hughes began selling the original Herbalife weight loss product from the trunk of his car. Mark started Herbalife with the help of physicians including a Nobel peace price winner for medicine after much research for the supplements. Herbalife started when Mark Hughes saw his own mother died at the young age of 36 due to efforts trying to lose weight from unworkable and sub-quality weight loss programs. The company now has grown by leaps and bounds, spread in 60 countries with multi-billion dollar profit. Google Maps Gets Localised

News, Services 2 Comments

Google has just launched Google Maps Malaysia, the localised version of the company’s popular online mapping service. While Malaysia maps have already existed in Google Maps for a while, the service now has nearly all the features available in the United States map, including routing, business listings and turn-by-turn directions.

One of the interesting new features is the Movie Finder which allows users to search through the database of movies and the cinemas showing in Malaysia. This feature goes much further than that, as it also offers a list of events currently going on in Malaysia and even property listings for potential house buyers. The event listings are provided by klue.com.my while property listings are provided by iproperty.com.my.

In fact, Google has been working with a number of providers to provide various services, as well as offering tools to contribute their maps and points of interest to Google Maps Malaysia. The company has also updated the mobile application meant for mobile phones.

The application now supports searching and if it’s a business listing, allows you to call in to destinations that have a phone number listed. Although almost full-featured, there are a couple of features that is still missing on the Malaysian version of Google Maps.

Two features missing from Google Maps Malaysia is the public transit feature (which gives you information on public transportation required to get to your detsination) and the traffic information service (to help avoid traffic jams).

For businesses, Google has prepared a number of tools and APIs for these businesses to promote their companies on Google Maps. There are currently around 100,000 local businesses listed on Google Maps from various sources, which includes contributions from them as well as from individuals sharing information. Currently Google Maps Malaysia covers the whole of Malaysia including East Malaysia, although certain smaller towns are still not covered.

Google Adsense income so slow

Adsense 2 Comments

I wonder how some bloggers manage to cash out Adsense month after month while my income takes months to hit the cash out level of USD100. Some bloggers have 1 or 2 active blogs that they earn so much each day. This month, I have reached about USD97 and with just a few days left, I am earning pennies each day and looks like it may take another month to hit the USD100 mark. Any suggestions on how I can leverage more from my blogs to earn free money from Adsense? While some bloggers update everyday, there are those who update once or twice per week like myself and yet earn so much month after month. Hope to get some useful feedback on how to earn more and be a successful blogger that you see online.

Selling Used Malaya stamps and used Malaysia stamps

Diana's Diary, Products No Comments

A check in eBay shows that your old used Malaya stamps can fetch about RM5 each. I have many Malaya stamps handed down from my dad. I have thousands of stamps from Singapore, USA, Australia, Czechoslovakia, China, India, South Africa, New Zealand, etc. I have about 12 big albums of stamps that I wish to get rid off. So if any of you who are die hard stamp collectors or stamp traders, drop me an email at diana.tan(AT)gmail.com to discuss further for the best offer. In my school days, I even used to buy stamps up to RM1 each as my pocket money allows. My dad has bought me stamps from Europe during his tour there in the 1970s. That explains my wide repertoire of used and new stamps plus first day covers in my entire collection. Though I could list my stamps for free in eBay Malaysia, but it is just too much trouble to take photos, touch them up and upload them for listing in eBay and to post them in the post office. I rather take a lump sum selling my entire collection or per stamp album basis which is much easier. So if you are looking to buy up my stamp collection, do drop me an email. I can give you a very good offer because I need to clear up the space and convert them to cash where I can store in the bank. You can be assured of value for money at bargain down prices. There are also stamps with errors in them that can fetch even better prices that I can point out.

PhatBand takes broadband to the next level

Technology No Comments

Ultra60small

PhatBand takes broadband to the next level and has created the next level of super-fast tier service. Phat is defined as something excellent and therefore the new generation of phat band is much more superior than the much touted broadband. Not only that, Charter’s Ultra60 Mbps service is the fastest Internet speed in the U.S. Currently available in St. Louis, Ultra60 will be rolled out to other areas along with other high-speed products throughout 2009. As of now, I am curious to try out Ultra60 Mega bytes per second of fast internet band speed and see how delivers video streaming data. I am sure there will be uninterupted streaming of the video files for a smoother viewing experience. This speed will enable customers to use the Internet in all new ways including gaming, movies, telecommuting with mega-files and much more at super high speeds.

At the high speed, you can multitask many functions simultaneously in one go and not notice any time lag or delay in any of those tasks. As long as it is affordable, I am willing to try my hands at something new and something different in the market. With offerings of super high internet speed, I can be more efficient in my work or to simply browse web sites and blogs in a jiffy. You can check out more information in Ultra60 Information Page and Charter’s Twitter Feed

Going to Kuala Lumpur tomorrow

Diana's Diary 1 Comment

I am quite used to travelling to KL at the 11th hour notice. It can be quite boring sitting in the car for 5 hours without moving much. People complain of jet lag, but is there a car lag? But luckily there are rest areas in between the North South highway for us to stretch out and loos to release ourselves. Kuala Lumpur used to be an area filled with mud, hence the name, but has developed into a cosmopolitan with high rise, plenty of highways and eateries. Cost of living is more expensive than Penang with plenty of snarling traffic jams. KLites are more impatient when driving and will not give way so easily unlike the Penangites.

Applying Blue Ocean Strategy

Business, Diana's Diary No Comments

In doing business, you need to apply Blue Ocean Strategy if you want to succeed. Blue Ocean Strategy means that there are no stiff competition unlike Red Ocean and you explore uncharted boundaries where you can prosper without competition. But you need to bear in mind that after some time of doing business where others have not treaded, there will eventually be copycats that will flourish and copy your exact business model like sourcing for the exact brands that you currently do and follow your very exact methods to win a slice of the market share competing with you. This is the time to again apply Blue Ocean strategy and branch out to do different, perhaps more efficient methods that you competition cannot catch up. Copy cats can also be from your former supervisors or staff who have learnt the secrets of your trade and start the same business as you and eat into your profits.

Parents going to Jakarta in June 2009

Diana's Diary No Comments

My parents were in Macau in March this year and before the year is up, they are planning another tour to Jakarta in coming June. Though they use their own money, we 3 daughters are chipping in RM600 a month each for the household expenses. My parents seem to be in a travelling spree and their motto is to travel as much as possible while they can before they become bed ridden. I would like to travel with them but they joined SAGE (Society of the Active Generation of the Elderly) and do not qualify as you have to be above 55 years old to be a member. It seems that the travelling bug just got onto my parents since the trip to China in 2007.

What the Heck! No One Picks Up Calls in Penang SOCSO!

Rants No Comments

I have paid the worker’s SOCSO company contribution for April 2009 and until today, 12th of May, I have yet to receive a receipt and form for May payment from them. SOCSO stands for Social Security Organisation that was established in Malaysia to make monthly payments to workers becoming disabled in the course of their employment. It is like a form of insurance. Today, I tried to contact the numbers that I have in the SOCSO letterhead and they have changed to a new number that is non-contactable at all and simply send a thank you message and hang up when you select all the options! Even the operator number leads to automatic message with no one to pick up the phone! I don’t know who is the director or head of department for SOCSO but they sure try to find ways to automate their telephone calls with no single person to pick up calls and attend to enquiries. This is surely the ‘makan ular’ (lackadaisical) attitude of the staff who is missing in action! Typical of the Malays who are so lazy, and depend on the UMNO government to take care of their needs to the exclusion of other races. I am still wondering how sincere is the government in advocating 1Malaysia concept.
