In doing business, you need to apply Blue Ocean Strategy if you want to succeed. Blue Ocean Strategy means that there are no stiff competition unlike Red Ocean and you explore uncharted boundaries where you can prosper without competition. But you need to bear in mind that after some time of doing business where others have not treaded, there will eventually be copycats that will flourish and copy your exact business model like sourcing for the exact brands that you currently do and follow your very exact methods to win a slice of the market share competing with you. This is the time to again apply Blue Ocean strategy and branch out to do different, perhaps more efficient methods that you competition cannot catch up. Copy cats can also be from your former supervisors or staff who have learnt the secrets of your trade and start the same business as you and eat into your profits.
Every day we are inundated with the dreaded “R” words – recession and retrenchment. With many people being jobless, they can start considering pushcart peddling in shopping malls. And the rental is about RM1,500 to RM3,000 per month – way cheaper than shopping lots that cost in the 5 figures payment. Some of the pushcart owners are earning about $15k to $20k in good times and break even in bad times such as this. All you need is to sign up for every 3 months rental and renewable thereafter. You can also source your products from China like sterling silver, semi-precious stones made into bracelets, rings, or sell funky pens like the ones on 2nd Floor of Gurney Plaza and children’s watches. There are many items to consider and this is one of the ways to earn in these difficult economic times.
I am also selling Herbalife part time since early this year and have sold to many clients online – check out the list of enquiries from my clients here. They are from the internet after doing Google search and come to me. What I want now is to look for an alternative Herbalife distributor who can sell at supervisor price and you can leave your email with me at the comment section of this blog if you can offer me 50% discount plus a further 5% discount on Herbalife products which I am getting from my upline now. This is for contingency purpose in case he cannot deliver and I don’t want to just depend on one person.
I joined Herbalife, a multi-level marketing (MLM) or direct selling program just 3 days ago. It was so convenient. I paid by internet banking to my upline’s Maybank account and the next morning, it was delivered right to my door step by Skynet from Kuala Lumpur. Above are the items I have received from Herbalife. And I was introduced this by my upline who is also my Yahoo Messenger online chat friend based in KL. He has been doing this business for 3 years now since they started in Malaysia and have even gotten RM10,000 check in commissions from his 30 downlines.
I am happy I have made the right choice to reduce weight. As you can see, I love food too much and it is about time I need to reduce my weight for an optimum BMI (Body Mass Index). From the BMI chart, I am considered overweight but thank goodness not obese. So I bought Formula 1 nutritional shake of french vanilla flavor to replace my daily meals. Just 2 scoops with 250ml of water to replace my lunch and dinner. As of today, I have already lost 0.5kg after 2 days of drinking the vanilla shake. And it is delicious and not sweet at all. I have previously joined other MLM companies, all to no avail like Perfect Youth and Lampe Berger which cost a whopping RM30,000 just to be a count. I only paid RM98 for the business pack with distributor license and form. And another RM79.23, after 50% discount at cost price from my upline at a supervisor level, for the Formula 1 nutritional shake. For more details, check out here and see the pictures of consumers with slim sexy bodies from an otherwise obese body. By the way, F1 nutritional shake mix is the bestseller product of the company to help people reduce weight.
Herbalife was founded in 1980, a company that sells weight-loss, nutrition and skin-care products by multi-level marketing, also known as network marketing. In February 1980, Mark Hughes began selling the original Herbalife weight loss product from the trunk of his car. Mark started Herbalife with the help of physicians including a Nobel peace price winner for medicine after much research for the supplements. Herbalife started when Mark Hughes saw his own mother died at the young age of 36 due to efforts trying to lose weight from unworkable and sub-quality weight loss programs. The company now has grown by leaps and bounds, spread in 60 countries with multi-billion dollar profit. If you like to lose weight while earning money at the same time, drop me an email at diana [dot] tan [at] gmail [dot] com.
Last night, I came back from Kuala Lumpur at around 8:00pm. It drizzled slightly during the trip back. As my colleague was tired after so much driving around to meet clients, I drove back from KL to Tapah which took about 1 hour. We stopped in Tapah for dinner and I bought some fruits like a pomelo, 2 huge mangoes, pink apple custard and green apple custard. My parents love fruits, as they are rich in vitamins and minerals. It was a successful business trip but quite a hectic one.
Above is a video of John Chow being interviewed about driving traffic to your site. If you have not heard of John Chow, he is the blog mogul who makes around USD17,000 in August 2007. This guy rocks and is dead serious about making a living off the internet. He has also written a free ebook to give away in order to drive traffic to his blogs. Check out the YouTube video above.
I am now in Kuala Lumpur and typing using another computer in the Subang Jaya condominium. There are more Chinese here compared to Shah Alam which is about 80% Malay. After 5 hours of driving down to KL from Penang, we visited a smart school in Subang. They wanted to convert the small garden to a rubberized floor for morning assembly. After the meeting, we went back for dinner, rested for a while before visiting another client in an apartment at about 8:00pm to resurface 2 outdoor badminton courts. The job was confirmed to start on Monday as the floor was badly maintained and desperately need refurbishment.
I was supposed to go down to KL yesterday, but due to incoming shipment that needs to be cleared, we have postponed the trip. We were supposed to meet up with potential clients in a hotel and a sports club in KL. Our jobs in KL are near completion, so our workers need continuous work to support themselves and their families. Hence, it is time to do marketing again and hopefully the jobs will arrive sooner than expected.
Today, I shall be going to Taiping after lunch to take photos of the completed futsal courts that my company has installed. The photos will be put into the company web site for potential clients to view our reference projects. As of now, we have more than 50 pictures of various project references that we have completed since 2003 and the profile keeps growing each month. That is why the company is so blessed with plenty of projects on hand every month that sometimes we are short of labor to complete them on time. The trip to Taiping will take about 2 hours drive and probably the whole afternoon will be taken just travelling.
