In five brilliant colors and just US$79, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs1 on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion. You know what they say about good things and small packages. But when something 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce holds up to 240 songs, “good†and “small†don’t cut it. Especially when you can listen to your music for up to 12 continuous hours. In fact, iPod shuffle just may be the biggest thing in small.

As it uses flash memory but colored aluminum cases, the Apple iPod nano (Second Generation) looks like a cross between the first generation iPod nano and the second generation iPod mini. It uses either 2 GB, 4 GB, or 8 GB of flash memory, capable of supporting either 500, 1000, or 2000 songs, respectively. Regardless of capacity, every iPod nano (2G) is capable of holding up to 25,000 iPod nano-viewable photos, but none support video playback.
The 2 GB model is available in silver, the 4 GB model in silver, green, blue, and pink, and the 8 GB model in black only. Hardware enhancements from the original iPod nano include longer battery life (a reported 24 hours), and a brigher 1.5 inch (diagonal) LCD display. The software has been improved with a search engine. In Malaysia, the silver 2GB Ipod retails for RM699, the 4GB apple green, fushcia pink and turquoise blue retails at RM939 while the black 8GB Ipod sells at RM1,149.
