If I write a book and get it published, I can earn 8% royalty from it. The payment will be disbursed every 6 months. Not bad for a start. That is why you find many wealthy people writing books and become authors. This work is done once and earn forever. Unlike a blog where you have to keep writing to maintain it, writing a book is better. With these factors in mind, I am contemplating of publishing my first book locally. But I still have not conceptualised the title yet. You need careful planning and lots of research before your book sells.

Granny’s 5th Death Anniversary

3 days ago was granny’s 5th death anniversary. She pass away on 16th May 2007. Well, she is now in a better place, no longer feel unwanted or keep harping on what could have been. She took care of me when I was young. She was also my room-mate for 18 years before I left to study in Singapore and work there for another 12 years. Now that I am back, granny is no longer around. She was the one who taught me about diligence and hard work to succeed and prosper. She will always tell me that books are my properties. So, I studied hard and managed to get a place in a top junior college in Singapore.

I Have Decided

I have made a decision today, but what it is, I don’t have to mention. But it is related to the increasing difficulties of earning online and less opportunities. Very few people become rich through the internet but most cannot work at home. It is not easy to find a sustainable work every month from the internet. There are far too many home workers that are willing to work for half the price or less from India, Philippines, Croatia, etc. And when you bid for jobs, you will most likely be unsuccessful, because there will always be someone willing to work for less.

Was in KL and Langkawi

I was in KL and Langkawi recently for business. Now I am down with a cold due to too much travelling and not enough rest. My colleague had high fever yesterday but bought some medication from the pharmacy and is better now. I might visit a doctor, because each time I have a cold and cough, it will last for months, the longest being 4 months despite several visits to the clinic. I think I also need more rest to hopefully recover quickly. Otherwise, it is going to be miserable. Moreover, there are hardly any more opportunities from the internet now and making money online is getting harder and harder, unlike last year and the years before.

I am now in KL for business and to claim our payment as there is a longstanding issue about it. Yesterday, after dinner, went back to the apartment and logged on to the computer to revised a quotation for an overseas client. Not sure if he is a genuine clientele but we treat all enquiries with equal importance as if they are going to deal with us. I just hope my efforts won’t be in vain. Now listening to Pastor Joseph Prince of New Creation Church, Singapore. It is very uplifting and he is extremely annointed.

Staying in a tropical climate country, here, there are lots of rain and dampness. My synthetic turf lawn sometimes collects algae and moss due to the retained surrounding dampness.

This is where I will need a new beautiful lawn in my garden for a whole overhaul and outlook. In the pass, we had real cow grass, but then it took a lot of time to mow the lawn notwithstanding the effort and time to maintain it.

Who knows, I might just plan to have a new beautiful lawn to complete my house. This should not be a problem. Wait till I have the time and budget for this project.

I Would Rather Sleep

I was away for a business trip in KL and did not have the time to update this blog. Now I would rather sleep under my silk comforter and turn on the air con. But then again, I have been sleeping too much these few days. Woke up at 10:00am this morning as I came back quite late last night. I hope to day is pay day and not to be postponed again. My boss was just too tired driving long distances. We were on the way back to Penang when we got a call about a surface problem and headed another 95km back to KL. This is very tiring and taxing on a not so young man. I bought two books from Kinokuniya at KLCC with 10% discount as I have the member card.

I am now in KL working. Yesterday, I got 17 offers to write gigs at $5 each. It suddenly came in a large batch that I was busy writing approximately 5,000 words the whole of yesterday. Not forgetting too my full time work that I have completed judiciously. It has been 6 months since the last time I got such juicy offers from them and then suddenly all came together yesterday. It is very convenient to be able to work from a home office.

Not Easy Chasing for Payment

I have called up a company called Al-Hidayah for our balance payment of $30k and and this dishonest company just hung up my phone calls 4 times in a row. They owe us the money since 1.5 years ago and still refuse to pay the balance. I have been calling them since last month till now and for each call, there is an excuse that the person in charge has gone for a meeting or sembahyang, praying (muslims pray 5 times a day!) in the office or has gone out without informing me of the status of the payment. It is a bumiputera development company and we have even make it easy to pay us by accepting only $4k per month in installment payments. Apparently the boss, Tuan Haji Baharin is not of a good character and owes people all over the place with balance payment upon completion of the work.
