Counting My Blessings Every Day

4:28 pm Diana's Diary, General

I was in KL a couple of days ago for business and to meet up with a supplier. Therefore, I don’t have the time to blog for the last few days. And my parents subscribe to Astro and are happily entertained with so many wonderful channels like Travelogue, CNN, BBC, Asian Food Channel plus many more exciting shows every day. They were glued to the telly almost the whole day during Olympics in China last year 2008 with the grand opening and closing with fireworks. Do you subscribe to Astro? If not you are missing a lot. As for me, I don’t watch as much as they do, and prefer to work by my computer or laptop. I can turn on the laptop anytime and login to the internet to check mails from potential clients every day. And yes, I also work on Sundays sending out quotations sometimes like today.

But being a workaholic, I enjoy my work. I also get to take naps in between to rest my eyes and mind. Having worked in the banking industry to education and corporate world, I don’t take my current job to work at home for granted. To tell you the truth, it was not easy working in an office environment with so many colleagues, some out there to stab your back if you don’t watch out. I have had my fair share of disappoinments and failures in the past but now is time for a breakthrough blessing. And I have heard of so many companies winding down and have to close in difficult times as this. I am happy to say that I have been gainfully employed with the same company since February 2004 – yes, time flies. What about you? Do share a bit.
