I just make a donation to the Thai orphans through Pastor Cheah Chee Moon. His dream is to ensure the homeless children under his care in Chiang Rai, Thailand, acquire a sound education. To achieve this, the 46-year-old Penangite recently embarked on a fund-raising mission to collect money for the schooling expenditure of the 56 children in his centre, called Agape Home. Riding a 30-year-old Honda Cub, Cheah travelled from Thailand to Singapore through the west coast of peninsula Malaysia.
“I am hoping that people will generously donate a ringgit for every kilometre covered.” said Cheah, who expects to have ridden about 6,000km by the time he returns to Thailand. Cheah’s involvement with orphaned and destitute children in Thailand began in 1984 when he went there as a missionary worker.
He found that there were far too many of them, some ending on the streets after both their parents succumbed to AIDS. “Some of these children were also HIV-positive and needed special care,” said Cheah. “My heart went out to them and I decided to take up the challenge of giving them a better life.”
He added that these street children had little opportunity in life and no way of acquiring an education. After years of working hard as a missionary to take care of their needs, he set up Agape Home several years ago to take in destitute children and give them a proper education.
According to Cheah, he wanted the children in Agape Home to go as far as possible academically. “Once they are well-educated, they will be able to take good care of themselves,” said Cheah, who runs the home with the help of four workers. He said homeless children had better opportunities in Malaysia compared to Thailand as there were many centres in Malaysia catering to their needs.

The donate money goes straight into Cheahs bank accounts, he is not a pastor, a big lier and a true gangster, he makes money and makes the children live in extreme poor conditions, he bribes the local administration, His organisation is part of a powerful chinese mafia network with connections in Singapore, Malaysia and Hon Kong with connections to heroin dealing and children prostitution, and human traffickin, protected by key people in the local adminstration of Chiang Rai who are covering up the scam. He could not care less for the children, but he depends on them for his survival. Before giving money to Cheah, go and check the account and registration. details of agape home, and after you donate money, go and check where is it gone.
I would be very disappointed if my hard earned money goes to a trickster. How did you know all this about ‘pastor’ cheah? Did you deal with him personally?
Hi all,
I have been to Agape home as a mission team. We stayed there for a week and we livem eat and ministered to the children there. They all have been well taken care. The Pastor is for real, has dedicated his whole life in caring for the children and the home. I saw how he provided, sacrificed and even discipline the children so that they would grow up able to finish their education and support themselves. Agape home is a genuine home that house 70++ children and the authorities in Thailand has been calling him up everyday to take in more children who either had lost their parents to drug traffickin or for other reasons. Today I received message from the Agape home, that the children are starving due to lack of fund and no food to eat. Can good samaritans out there help ! I am trying to get Pastor Cheah contact number in Thailand, if i receive them, i shall post it here.
Thank You
Jennifer
I have administered ministry there too, and have witnessed the most horrible reality.
we have raised money is available for the children, however, Mr Cheah is preventing aid from being delivered directly to the children.
Agape home is not registered, and only has ONE hiv kid, according to local HIV organisation ACCESS, so all the stories about HIV kids are lies, or ACCESS has the wrong information?
Have you checked their documentation? We have, its does not exist. Have you checked the bank accounts the money goes to? They are private and unaudeted
God Knows how much money is going to Cheah, and the children are still starving?
So how come they do not let anyone other orphanage take care of the children where they would be very welcome?
All the money that you send, will go to him privately, and he will spend a little to pay rent and buy a handful or rice to pay the bribes to the local administration so that he can keep going.
Food is available TODAY for the children, we can deliver enough rice for a week within the hour, but Cheah is not interested, he is only interested in donations made to his bank account, why?
We also have several sponsor families ready to support each child individually, and some funds available to support them in the meantime. This can be arrange today.
But Mr Cheah prevents anyone who checking on his legality to provide help. That’s why the children are starving despite support is available! They keep them starving so that people will send more money, so that they cans starve them some more the week after that. That’s how the children racket works here in Chiang Rai.
We are based here, and cannot get anywhere near the children, cause Cheah is preventing anyone from helping, because he wants to be seen as the ‘person who takes care of the children’
We’ll be happy to take care of the children working with an intermediate organisation, as long as we can deliver the food ourselves, and make sure it’s eaten by the children. We have had experience in the past of supplies being delivered one day, and being taken somewhere else
have you seen his car? His clothes? his home? We have. The man lives in luxury, and lets the children stay in that poor shack to show the world how poor they are.
Post an email address here how we can contact you, and we’ll be happy to work with you to make sure that the children are taken care of, We have been trying to work with local authorities and we are spending A LOT OF MONEY in dealing with solicitors, and we may even have to go to court because Cheah is preventing help to be provided to the children directly, and this is against children’s rights.
We would be happier to spend our funds in helping the children directly, rather than spending in legal fees to find out what the heck is going on there.
Behold!
I think I rather not leave any email here and have read enough of ‘Pastor’ Cheah cheating the orphanage of aid while living in luxury. This will be my last time making a donation of this amount to anyone even if it is from the newspapers in future.
Diana
you, and the others, are paying money in good faith, of course thats good. I am sorry to break the news to you that way.
but please check before sending money to some unscrupulous individuals, it’s terrible what is happening behind the closed doors of these homes
People enact wonderful bible trainings, and when visitors are gone, the most terrible things happen, disabled girls are abused by elder ‘orphans’ why the carer laughs at their cries. Lots of these kids are not orphans, and they are ‘trained’ to act lovely and miserable for visitors. Its a gang, a criminal ring involving singapore and children trafficking, money laundering and drug dealing. Not even the authorities can do something about this situation, as they are protected by the ‘triad; they are ‘untouchables’.
If Jennifer wants to help, just let us have some contact details, a url or whatever, so that we can follow up on the situation, but please just be careful who you send money to.. that’s all. I assure you that we have supplies on standby, ready to be delivered, and families and organisations ready to help the children, but not to help the criminals who exploit them. We standby, let us know how you want to proceed. I can put you in touch with local authorities who are investigating the case, and can provide a good home, or anything that the children need, as long as we dont have to feed the vices of Mr Cheah and his friends.
Chiang Rai Children’s Rights,
Jennifer’s email is s77melody@hotmail.com
I would be interested to know what you have written her and please send a copy here. Let every one know what is really happening to this so call pastor supposed to help the orphans.
I have your site for its useful and funny content and simple design.
Dear Diana,
I lost your web after my last post and didnt know thee are otherse who have written concerning the above topic.
Like to let you know, Agape home is growing fine. The children has grown. We provided health education and abstinence education to the children during our end 2008 visits there. They have started to make use of their small land to grow their own vegetable. I hope not to response to poison pen writers. What they are saying is untrue and is definitely going to hurt many good souls out there. Please do not provide my mail ID to anyone. Pastor Cheah is coming down with a few older children and we will be meeting up for a time of fellowship. These children has dreams of their own and we want them to succeed in life in the right path. So we trying to provide alot of education so that they know how to face the tough tough world when they grow up and independent. You have a wonderful site. I will not write anymore. God Bless You.
Pastor Cheah is trafficking children by forging their document and bringing cthem to Malaysia and Singapore and promising them good jobs and a future
they become slave labour and sexual workeers
Some members of the church and people like Jenniffer are making this happen
Diane, be ware. Jennifer is maybe also part of the racket too, and simply pretend to be a christian missionary , be careful,
BEHOLD
Pastor Cheah ministry is real.
