Since 2001, I have offered freelance web designing from home. I have had a few customers to build web sites and create Macromedia Flash animations like banners, presentations, logos, etc. The clients range from USA, Singapore and also from Kuching. My web designing services are offered here.
I also did some virtual assistance for customers in KL and USA with my portfolio here. You can also do the same if you can write, edit photos, do simple web designs, name card designs, brochure designs, and the list goes on and on.
Paid blogging was quite lucrative in 2007 but slowly taper off in 2008 from my experience. But I still get to do some paid blogging now and then but not everyday as it used to the last time round. If you have blogs and would like to do paid blogging, you can check around and join the programs to be accepted first. With so many bloggers now, it may be quite stringent compared to the last time.
Google Adsense can be quite good as residual income and you don’t have to work hard for it. Just put the contextual advertisements in your web sites or blogs and you can start earning when there is traffic to your sites from the search engines. I have withdrawn a few times from Google Adsense but it is nothing to shout about. There are others who are withdrawing monthly using Western Union from Google Adsense and earning quite good income – sometimes more than the average managers in multi-national corporations like those in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
There are several websites that pay writers for their work submitted. Be careful not to copy and paste from the internet as this can be checked via CopyScape. If you are found to copy contents or plagiarise other people’s work, you may be banned from writing for the particular company. If you can type fast and think on your toes, then you can give this a try. Unlike Google Adsense that is residual income, this is linear income where you have to work for it.
I have sold many copies of ebooks and reports online with the best seller being 750 Reports. Bear in mind that you need to get an affordable merchant account to link to your web page to take in credit card payments via a safe and secure gateway like 2CheckOut. After you have accummulated at least USD100, then you can withdraw the amount either by check or direct bank in. You can also link to PayPal to take in credit card payments.
