If you write paid post, you might like to install a WordPress plugin to count the number of words in your post. You might want to download the Leprakhaun’s WordPress Script to your blog. The process is simple. Just download the PHP script to your computer and FTP or upload the script to your web site with WordPress Plugins folder.

Once it is activated, you can see the additional feature of “Calculate Words” below the editor of the dashboard of your WordPress as circled in red in the picture above. Just type the words and click on “Calculate words” and voila, the number of words will be displayed. This plugin is easy to use and very neat. I have been looking for one like this for some time to use for my pay to blog activities.
