You Can Pay Your Summons Online in Malaysia

I was reading an article when I came upon this web site http://www.myeg.com.my/ where you can pay your summons online through credit card or internet banking. After registering with your personal details, you can then log in and key in your new IC number to check the number of summons you have received thus far and select each one of them to proceed with the payment. When you pay online, you get at least RM50 discount or more depending on the fines like wrong parking or speeding. So far, I have paid 5 summons online for someone and it was quite easy. However, you need to be patient with the system as it is still buggy in my opinion. There was one summon I have paid online but it was not updated to the web site above and I got message of failure 2 times for the same payment. In the end, instead of paying 5 summons, I had to pay 6 times, costing me additional RM102. If the summons is RM100, there is an additional $2 charges for their services.

This system is only good if you don’t have the time to queue up to pay at the counter and are too busy to pay physically. Just cross your fingers that the system will not be buggy at the time when you pay online so that you don’t have to pay a second time like me. After all your summons are paid, they will be marked “p” for processing and the next time you log in again, the paid summons will disappear from the list upon keying your IC number.
